Swamp Radio Miami's Premier Country & Country Rap Radio Station
SwampTree Sater and his journey into music is anything but ordinary. From his battles with addiction to time behind bars, his life has shaped his sound. Today, he channels his story into country rap, a genre where raw honesty meets rhythmic storytelling.
SwampTree Sater and his love for music began after his time in the Air Force. Using his GI Bill, he earned a degree in Music Production from LA Film School. This gave him the skills to control his own career and pursue his passion as an independent artist.
The name “SwampTree” has deep meaning. Inspired by the song “Country” by Upchurch, Demun Jones, and Calhoun, it reflects his Louisiana roots and Norse Pagan beliefs. “Country rap felt like a home for me,” he shares. “It’s about being real and telling your story.”
SwampTree Sater is a founding member of Swamp Music Mafia, a group of like-minded artists. Alongside Ole Skeet, ToneTheBone, and King Kush, the group formed to support and promote one another’s music.
“Being part of Swamp Music Mafia is empowering,” he says. “We’re all strong solo artists, but together, we’re even stronger.”
Collaboration is key for the group. They share ideas in chats, work together on beats, and build songs as a team. Their process is creative and flexible, with tracks like “We 86 Em” and “GreenMan” showcasing their synergy.
SwampTree’s music is inspired by his life. His songs often explore addiction, prison, and the lessons he’s learned along the way. Tracks like “Felonies” and “Way She Goes” give listeners a glimpse into his past and his journey to redemption.
“If I haven’t lived it, it’s hard to write about it,” he admits. “I use my experiences to create meaningful music. It’s about turning struggles into strength.”
His upcoming album, SouthSide SunLight: Volume 2, continues this theme. The songs are bold and motivational, encouraging listeners to reflect and grow.
SwampTree believes in staying focused and finding the right people to work with. His advice is simple:
“Don’t wait for others to catch up. Keep pushing forward and surround yourself with people who match your energy.”
SwampTree has big plans. He’s releasing new songs every Friday through the end of the year. On December 23rd, his album SouthSide SunLight: Volume 2 drops exclusively on SPNDAT.
With collaborations and solo projects on the horizon, SwampTree is determined to share his story through music. His journey proves that even in the toughest times, redemption is possible.
